In response to the Chinese Language Promotion Association’s essay initiative, choose one Chinese idiom and create a competition entry based on it. Select one of the following three formats:
a) Write a 50–80 word essay (in Chinese or English). Describe your understanding and feelings about the idiom. We discussed a model essay in class, so please refer to its structure when writing your composition.
b) Create a drawing based on the idiom you selected. The drawing must be in color, the content should reflect the meaning of the idiom, and the idiom should be written on the artwork.
c) Make a video telling a short story about the idiom. Your voice should be loud and clear, pronunciation accurate, and the story should have a complete structure that highlights the deeper meaning expressed by the idiom.
